Addiction begins as a worship problem and ends up replacing God with idols. The spiritual desires driving addiction are more powerful than the physical desires. We don’t worship the value of creation; we value the worship of the Creator. Addiction always over-promises and under-delivers.

Thanks for offering such timely topics! On a related note, I share one of my favorite passages:

He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds. He telleth the number of the stars . . . Psalm 147:3-4.

When I gaze at the majesty of the night sky, I feel encouraged that He can heal any brokenness in my life.
