From Our Backyards to the Nations

It only takes one passionate soul to start a movement. Think about the wave. It typically starts with a single person in the corner of the stadium screaming at one section to raise their hands. Before long, thousands are participating in total unity.

What about a gospel movement? I believe God can use any one of us to begin a revival that reaches multitudes. John the Baptist kick-started the “beginning of the gospel of Jesus Christ, the Son of God” (Mark 1:1). He began a movement as a single voice crying out in the wilderness, preparing the way for Jesus. For a gospel movement to explode, we’ve all got to get uncomfortable like John. We need to get in the wilderness—a place where we depend only on Christ.

We’re hosting a free conference—From Our Backyards to the Nations—at my church, FBC Murray. If you’re anywhere near Murray, KY on October 16th or 17th at 5:30PM, then you should come. Ed Stetzer and others will be sharing how we all can get a lot more uncomfortable. We’ll celebrate God’s mission, and you’ll be challenged to have a heart for people in your backyard and across the globe. You can sign up here.
